The NHS Complaints Procedure applies to all NHS organisations, including NHS London. The aim is to provide a quick but thorough response to a complaint by those who are directly responsible.
NHS London needs to receive information on serious incidents from NHS organisations within its boundaries in order to both identify learning opportunities for improving patient safety, and to ensure that trusts and commissioners have robust arrangements in place to investigate incidents and prevent reoccurrence.
