NHS London has published an independent report into the care and treatment provided to Mr RS, a mental health patient with West London Mental Health NHS Trust, who died in August 2005.

The report was commissioned by the strategic health authority at the request of Mr RS's family.

As part of their performance management process NHS London and Hounslow Primary Care Trust will discuss the monitoring of West London Mental Health NHS Trust's progress against the report's findings and recommendations.

This will form part of their regular quarterly meetings. The Trust will also be responsible to their Board and governance processes to ensure that progress is made on the agreed action plan.
