NHS London single equality scheme 2010-13
NHS London aims to deliver excellence in all we do and recognises that the effective promotion and implementation of our Single Equality Scheme will play an essential part in helping to embed fairness into the health services provided and to promoting greater diversity and inclusion in organisational culture.
This Scheme should be seen as our equality and diversity strategy explaining how NHS London plans to meet its statutory duty to advance equality in service delivery and workforce strategies. The principles of equality and fair treatment for all are therefore to be the basis for every aspect of NHS London's business.
Leadership and commitment at all levels are central to the success of the scheme.
The scheme includes an action plan which sets out the specific actions and outcome measures we intend to take over the next three years to ensure that we meet that commitment and fulfil our obligations under equality legislation.
