We work with trusts to support the installation of the NHS Care Records Service but it is the trusts themselves who govern the delivery of the different work programmes. This happens through the LPfIT governance structure, where projects are overseen by a series of programme boards and working groups, which include representation from the trusts, the suppliers and LPfIT specialists.

Programme boards

The detail of our work programmes is governed by a series of programme boards which meet bi-monthly, with the LPfIT Programme Board having final decision-making power. The chairs of each of the care setting programme boards sit on the LPfIT Programme Board.
