LPfIT on-line request for change system PROGRESS UPDATE

URL

https://lpfit.service-now.com/

Purpose

This document is designed to provide trusts with an update on the LPfIT project to enable trusts to log requests for change (RFCs) electronically

Key desired benefits

  • Replace the static paper based process with an up to the minute online Request for Change tool to view and log trust RFCs
  • Provide trusts with total control of the RFCs raised by their organisation by allowing only nominated trust users access the tool
  • Allow trusts to view all RFCs currently under development or awaiting review and the current status of each change
  • Allow trusts to review and authorise RFCs remotely cutting down the number that need to go to the user group and thus reducing the delivery timescale

Access

Each trust will be provided with three change licences. This functionality normally requires licences to be procured but these have kindly been provided by Service Now at no cost to the project on the agreement that there is no more that three issued to each organisation. As with all passwords these should be protected and only known to the individual. Trusts can have more registered users if they choose, by procuring an annual licence for £950 per user.

Training and instructions

Example led training will be provided through existing user, change and service management groups. Written instructions will also be provided to users where attendance at these groups is not possible.

Support

The LPfIT Service Management team will provide initial support to trusts for issues related to the use of the product. Support will be provided on a best endeavours basis 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. Issues should be emailed to the Service Management team

Requests for new users

From time-to-time trusts will require new users to be added and old ones to be removed. These requests should also be emailed to the Service Management team We will aim to set users up within two business days.
