Welcome to the London Programme for IT (LPfIT).

Part of NHS London, LPfIT has overall responsibility for upgrading NHS information technology to make it possible for hospitals, community services, mental health trusts and GPs to share electronic patient records across the capital. This will enable the NHS to provide better, safer care for patients wherever and whenever they need it.

It's a big job, but we're working alongside London's trusts and our supplier BT, and together we're making real progress.

This site contains information about all of the work we are doing and the benefits it is already reaping. There is also a range of support for our NHS colleagues in trusts across London.
